John L. Sadd, Jr.
Senior Partner, CPA, CGMA
John was the founder and managing partner of Sadd Higashi Shammaa, AC from 1989 through 2009 when the firm merged with Velazquez & Associates, Inc. Previously, John was a partner in the firm Brotemarkle & Sadd, APC.
With more than 40 years of experience in public accounting, he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from California State University, Los Angeles. He has provided business and tax planning and preparation, financial statement preparation, auditing, estate, trust and business consulting to a broad range of clients. In addition to these services, John has been retained as an expert witness in litigation regarding tax, accounting and other matters, and has also served as a court-appointed referee. He has been a featured speaker in numerous presentations to business, educational and professional groups.
In addition to his accounting practice, John serves as chairman of the board of directors of EH Bank of Beverly Hills. He is also very active in community services, holding leadership positions on the Glendale Educational Foundation (president and treasurer), the Kiwanis Club of Glendale (president and treasurer), Ascenia (Board of Directors), and many others. In addition to these charitable organizations, John has been appointed by Glendale city officials to the Citizens Bond Oversight Committee (chairman), the Measure K Oversight Committee (chairman), and the Community Block Grant Advisory Committee.
John resides in Glendale with his wife, Suzi. In his spare time, he likes to fish, play golf and host BBQs with family and friends.
