John was the founder and managing partner of the predecessor firms of The Accountancy.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from California State University, Los Angeles. With more than 50 years of experience in public accounting, he has provided business and individual tax planning and preparation, financial statement preparation, auditing, estate, trust and business consulting to abroad range of clients. In addition to these services, John has been retained as an expert witness in litigation regarding tax, accounting and other matters, and has also served as a court-appointed referee. He has been a featured speaker in numerous presentations to business, educational and professional groups.

In addition to his accounting practice, John served as chairman of the board of directors of Excel Bank of Beverly Hills. He is also very active in community services, holding leadership positions in a number such organizations. In addition to these charitable organizations, John has been appointed by Glendale city officials to the Citizens Bond Oversight Committee (chairman), the Measure K Oversight Committee (chairman), and the Community Block Grant Advisory Committee.
